Road Trip Night 7

We camped in Two Medicine in Glacier National Park which is a first come- first served campground. Although we love our free camping spots, sometimes the best plan for us is to stay closer to the park. This campsite worked well for us because it is on the East side of the park. We were concerned about finding a spot so planned to try the East side first before driving into the park to look at other campsites. Since it is first-come, first served you have to drive around and look for an empty spot. Although there are tags posted on the spots that are taken, Jerry and I also like to carry two cheap (old) camp chairs that we leave in our campsite just to make it easier for someone to see that we are there. Camping in Two Medicine costs $20 per night.

There are both bears and mountain lions in this area so even in camp it's important to make sure you're always watching your surroundings and using the provided bear boxes for your food. This campsite has running water and a clean bathroom with flushing toilets and running water (no showers). We stayed in site 61 which was right next to the bathroom. We loved that it had a circular pull through for parking and had a nice flat spot.

Here's some more views of Two Medicine Lake at dawn:
